Why your infection is not an infection!

Imagine this… those tiny microorganisms, that seem to congregate in and on your body, that you think of as harmful and threatening…what if they are actually Nature’s OG recyclers?
Your body is home to trillions of microbes, AKA germs, why do they suddenly attack? In the case of microbes, how, but more importantly, why would we be home to billions of microbes that at any given moment could threaten our very existence. We are told, even with a healthy diet and lifestyle, we could fall prey to germs at any time. We could ‘catch’ something from anyone, anywhere.
When you stop to REALLY think about it, it just doesn’t make sense.
An Insult to Mother Nature
Once you truly understand the adaptive intelligence in living systems you come to understand why Germ Theory is an insult to Mother Nature. Microbes are used to clean up toxins in the environmental after oil spills. They also serve the same function in humans.
Adaptive dynamic intelligence in living systems isn’t restricted to any one kingdom; it is found in the Plant, Mineral and Animal kingdoms equally; a plant grows upward toward light while extending roots down toward water and nourishment, animals that migrate, murmuration’s of large flocks of birds.
I’m sure you’ve had your own experience of adaptive intelligence- last week’s paper cut, vanished without a trace, or even much effort on your behalf.
The Intelligence of Germs
Microbes, like all living organisms, are governed by adaptive natural intelligence. They needn’t be feared, when you understand the mutually beneficial relationship and what they are signaling, your perspective shifts entirely. You will recognise antibiotics as the anti-life treatments they are, as they annihilate your own personal clean-up crew, and halt the self-healing action of your body.
Nature’s OG Recyclers
Do you know that bacteria and fungi only eat dead and decaying tissue? Scientifically, they are classed as saprophytes. What appears as mould on the forgotten cheese at the back of your fridge…is not the cause of the food spoiling; it is the result. Natural compounds degrade; food starts to spoil the minute it is picked, killed, processed or exposed to oxygen. Bacteria are the result of food degrading, or put another way, they are the response to degradation. Not cause, but effect.
The same with roadkill, what remains of the carcass once the birds and other scavengers have their fill will ultimately be cleaned up by bacteria and other microbes.
Here we have a perfect example of the adaptive natural intelligence in living systems.
Nothing is wasted in Nature
Mother Nature wastes nothing and does nothing in vain. Nature provides an exemplary demonstration of efficiency, reciprocity and balance.
This can be hard for us to understand. Many of us, growing up fully embedded in a Paradigm that -
· drills us with imagery that germs are to be feared
· uses Nature to terrorise us
· reduces the responsive adaptive whole into disconnected, seemingly random parts
Time to Reconnect
Have you felt it too? The limits of this Paradigm. Maybe you’ve grown up sensing the destructive, extractive and dysfunctional patterns that dominate most of our “systems” today; disconnected from the adaptive intelligence in natural living systems. Maybe you feel the disconnect and now that sense of connection is a longed for, but distant memory. So much of our health crises are a direct result of our disconnection from Nature, both within and without.
The reductionist, materialistic paradigm has deeply imprinted the collective subconscious with beliefs that inefficiency (over efficiency), conditional withholding (over reciprocity) are the norm. The implied message: nature has it wrong and by extension, your nature must be wrong too.
The Limits of Classifications
As if merely naming, measuring and describing body parts and disease with long Latin names can tell us how our adaptive intelligence functions.

As if analysing dead tissues and isolated cells in petri dishes, or torturing live animals, can tell us anything about the animating force that heals the paper cut or broken limb.
It’s no wonder that collectively we feel out of kilter. We are disconnected from a profound and powerful truth; given the right conditions the body heals itself. It’s in our very Nature.
Healing – it’s in your Nature
Nature does nothing in vain. And wastes nothing.
If you have an “alleged” bacterial infection it’s not a random event, nor in vain. Recall, bacteria are the clean-up crew – of the spoiling food, the roadkill and of your own internal Terrain.
It is only certain conditions (rotting carcass, ageing cheese) - death and decay – that create a situation where bacterial populations can overwhelm.
Healthy by Design
Microbes deliver important, and at times, life-saving messages. Sadly, we have been misled from this important truth. Microbes are nature’s adaptive intelligent response, removing dead and decaying tissue to clean up your Terrain…
Germs needn’t be feared, eradicated and obliterated. Nor should they be simply ignored.
An overwhelming presence of germs simply indicate that you need to clean up your Terrain. Terrain-Centred Naturopathy works with this intelligence rather than suppressing the remedial action of natural adaptive intelligence.
To quote from Thomas Kuhn’s The Structure of Scientific Revolution -
“every scientific paradigm eventually expands beyond the limits of its methodologies…and becomes redundant”.
We are fortunate enough to be living through such a time.
